Volunteers are the backbone of any rescue organization. Without wonderful people willing to donate time, money, talent, or their homes for fostering, we could not do what we do. Pup Squad Rescue needs your help, literally, to survive. So, if you love animals, please consider helping us in the following ways...

Fostering

Being abandoned, neglected or dumped at the shelter is traumatic. Foster homes offer rescued dogs a safe haven in which to regain their confidence in life, and blossom with love! They are also an invaluable way for us to find out more about the dog’s personality and quirks so that we can find it the best forever home. Pup Squad Rescue provides all the food and medical care – all we ask of you is a commitment of at least two weeks to give the dogs a chance to relax a little after all that they’ve been through.

Adoption Helpers

Our weekly adoptions are crucial in finding rescued dogs homes. We really need your help to set up crates, re-fill water bowls, and walk the dogs. So, if you have a few hours to spare, and want to get some doggy kisses, please come by! Sorry, but we can’t accept volunteers under 18 years of age, unless supervised by an adult.

Transport

Let’s face it, this is Los Angeles – nothing can be done without a car. We are always appreciative of drivers who can help transport rescued dogs from the shelter to the vet, to boarding, or to the adoptions.

Grooming

Lookin’ good and feelin’ fine is how our dogs like to be at adoptions! Being freshly bathed and groomed also increases their chances of finding a home. So, if you’re a wizard with shampoo and scissors, please consider donating some time and talent to our rescued furry friends.

Fundraising

Rescuing dogs costs money. So, the more we have, the more lives we can save. Whether you’re an experienced non-profit fundraiser, would like to organize a fund-raising event, or simply have a great idea for making some cash, we would love to hear from you!

Grant Writing

Most of Pup Squad Rescue’s donations come from adoption fees and big-hearted private parties. But if you have experience as a grant writer for non-profits, please come on down!

Sponsor a Dog

One of the best ways to help us save more abandoned dogs, is to assist us with the cost of caring for them once we get them out of the shelter. You can help with the expenses by becoming a Pup Squadder, and making a tax-deductible contribution to sponsor a particular dog.
Contributions can be made by week(s), or by month(s).

Week -- $100
Monthly -- $400

For contributions of $100 or more, we will send a photo of your sponsored dog and keep you updated on their progress. For contributions of $400 or more, your name will be included as a sponsor on our Friends page (unless you wish to remain anonymous). Contributions can also be made in the form of a dedication (‘in memory of…’ )
