Certain breeds shed more than others, and long-haired breeds require more grooming. If you’re allergic, while there is no true hypoallergenic dog, there are breeds generally considered to cause less of a reaction because they shed less - such as poodles, schnauzers, shih tzus and various terriers. But allergies are also triggered by dander, saliva, and urine. If you tend towards the itchy scratchy, keep the house clean, use dander neutralizers on the fur, and keep that dog’s tongue away from your face!
